John H. Saringer passes away
John H. Saringer, born June 15, 1916 in Belton, passed away May IO in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Erolla B. Saringer.
John owned and operated his own business for many years as a mechanical contractor. After retiring from that, he worked as a rancher in Kaufman. raising registered polled herefords. He was a member of both the state and national polled hereford associations. John was a long-time resident of the Casa Linda area of Dallas. He served in many organizations during those years such as the Kawanis, the Masons for over 50 years, Buckner State Bank and Lakeside Baptist Church.
For many years, he was an amateur radio operator and many “hams” across the world loved talking to “Big John” at KSZVP, his amateur station. He supported higher education through the years, and was a loyal contributor to the University of Mary HardinBaylor, where his wife and two daughters graduated.
He is survived by his three children, Frances Jones and husband, Bob: Judy Landrum and husband, Jim, and son John R. Saringer and wife Sandi. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kellye Robertson and husband, Keith; Richard Jones and wife Susan; Tony Landrum and wife Suzy; Stacey Moore and husband Jeff; Missy Rhys and husband Tim. He is survived by his sister, Betty and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held May 12 at the Restland Memorial Chapel.
