Services for Dagmar Hooten, 67, of Salado will be a private gathering of friends. Her ashes will be scattered by Jim and Lora Hansen of Killeen.
A twenty-five year survivor of ovarian cancer, Mrs. Hooten died on January 4, 2010 at her residence in Salado. She was born on October 21, 1942 in Berlin, Germany during WWII to Karl Otto Hermann Hans Schultz and Kathe Elsa Lohse.
Belton- Funeral services for Ed Baker, 84, of Salado were held January 12, 2010 at Salado United Methodist Church. Travis Franklin officiated. Interment followed at Salado Cemetery.
Lois Mae Watson Shepperd passed away New Year’s Day, 2010 at the age of 96, in a Belton Nursing Home. She was born on November 10, 1913 to Ausie and Bertie Mae Capps Watson. She was the second oldest in her family of four brothers; Foster, Harold, Dick and Joe Watson and three sisters; Inez Buford, Osie Baker and Josie Cearley. She was the last surviving member of her family.
FORT HOOD, Texas – Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona of injuries suffered as a result of a gunshot wound.
Bob Wright, 84, of Bryan passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Visitation will be Friday, January 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station. Funeral Services are set for 10 a.m., Saturday January 2, at the funeral home.
