Pedro R. “Pete” Coronado, 91, of Salado, passed away March 2, 2015 following a long illness.
He was born February 4, 1924 in Benevides, Texas, the eldest son of Pedro and Otila Coronado.

Shirley D. Thweatt, 79, of Salado passed away on February 16, 2015 in Temple. A memorial service for Mrs. Thweatt will be held at a later date.
Services for Dick Prater were held Feb. 15 at Salado United Methodist Church with burial following at Salado Cemetery.
Richard (Dick) C. Prater, 87, of Salado, died on February 10, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Services for David R. Krause, CSM Ret., 69, of Salado were held Feb. 16 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Salado.
Krause died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at his residence.
Claudia Lee Stubblefield passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Early, Texas.

FORT HOOD, Texas — Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who was found unresponsive February 4, 2015 in his vehicle at one of the training areas here.
Spc. Casey Andrew Chapman, 20, whose home of record is listed as Augusta, Maine, entered active-duty service in January 2013 as a artillery mechanic. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since September 2014.
Chapman’s awards and decorations include four Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Medal.
Funeral services for Sandy Evans Scully, 65, of Temple, were held Feb. 7 at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Robert Whitefield officiating. Burial followed at the Salado Cemetery.
Sibyl Williams Smith passed away on February 2, 2015.
Wanda May (Fletcher) Berrier, of Moody, 87, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015.
A graveside service was held Feb. 5 at Moody Cemetery. Visitation was held Feb. 4, at Cole Funeral Home, in Moody.
