Services for James W. Dorman, 87, of Salado were held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the 3C Cowboy Fellowship Church, 16258 Gooseneck Rd., Salado at 2 p.m. followed by interment in Salado Cemetery. Dr. Scott Mescher, Senior Associate Pastor, 1st Baptist Church, Salado officiated the service.
Jimmie Kay (Brown) Smith, a long time resident of Salado, passed away on January 7 in Turlock, California where she was in a senior residence under the care of her granddaughter, Kathryn Escobar and her family. Born June 9, 1918 in Crawford, Texas, Mrs. Smith was 95.
Services for Billy D. Parker, of Harker Heights, were held at 2 p.m. December 28, 2013 at First Baptist Church-Trimmier in Killeen. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville.

Druane Holton McLoud, 71, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 in Temple. She was born on October 27, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas to Arthur Eugene Holton, Jr. and Margaret Ann Curtis.
Jane Elizabeth Schriner, 96, of Salado died Saturday, December 7, 2013, in a local hospital.

Brianne Nicole Pratt, age 20 of Salado, died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Temple. She was born October 29, 1993 in Fort Hood, Texas to Jeffrey Pratt and Anna (Phlaghter) Bush.
