Salado Eagles travel to Llano to face the 1-4 Yellowjackets in the final non-district football game at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2.
Salado Lady Eagles handled Veritas Academy in quick fashion, winning in three straight, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-15 last week. The girls also swept the Groesbeck Lady Goats in three sets to improve to 22-5 on the year.
Academy Bees scored 31 points in the second quarter and 7 in the first quarter as they handed the Salado Eagles their fourth straight loss of the year, this time a 38-0 shut out Sept. 18 in Academy.
Salado Lady Eagles are 20-5 after sweeping Academy Lady Bees and Killeen Lady Roos in straight sets of volleyball recently.
Ryan Kyburz hit Jake Harvey on the fly and Harvey dashed past a shocked Rockdale Tiger safety to score a 56 yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead less than a minute into their contest Sept. 11.

Salado Lady Eagles are 18-5 following a three-set win over the Jarrell Lady Cougars last week.
Salado Eagles struggled in every aspect of the game in their Homecoming loss to the West Trojans, who had 502 yards offense tonight at Eagle Field in their 49-6 win.
The Trojans drew blood early and often, scoring three first quarter touchdowns on drives of 58 and 60 yards and a short drive of just nine yards after Bailey Horn returned an Eagle punt 71 yards.
West took eight plays and less than two minutes to score on a 10 yard run by Kory Webre less than three minutes into the game. The Trojans scored again on a four yard run by Steven Stoermer and Horn kicked the extra point for a 14-0 lead with 7:05 left in the first.
