Salado Lady Eagles lost district softball games to two ranked opponents last week: Lampasas and Liberty Hill.

Salado Lady Eagles will take their near-perfect record on the road March 27 when they face LaGrange, the fourth place team out of District 26AAAA, at 6:30 p.m. at Hutto High School. The boys will follow in their match up with Taylor, the second-place team out of District 26AAAA at 8 p.m.
Salado Lady Eagles notched their first district win, beating the Taylor Lady Ducks 6-1 in a home game that was moved to March 23 due to inclement weather.

Through six innings, Cody Wolf held onto a perfect game against the Lampasas badgers until Braden Terry took Wolf’s second pitch and knocked a hard grounder past Jacob Little to reach first on an error in the Salado Eagles’ 6-0 no-hitter win on March 24.
Salado Eagles got two wins in the Celina Tournament before the rains of Spring Break ruined their chances for any other games last week.

Salado Eagles varsity soccer return to the playoffs as the third place team in District 25-4A after a win over Jarrell and a loss to Liberty Hill last week.
After thrashing Liberty Hill 6-0 in the district finale, Salado High School Lady Eagles are District Champions for the first time since Salado instituted a soccer program four years ago.
