Haire to return to take reins of Eagle football
Three decades after wearing Eagle football uniform, Haire will lead the football program here
“I am proud of being from Salado,” Alan Haire said. “I am proud of playing Eagle Football and I want the kids to feel the same way.”
Almost 30 years after graduating from Salado, Haire will return to be the Head Football Coach of the Eagles.

Eagles beat Smithville in district finale
After holding on to beat the Smithville Tigers in the final game of the regular season, the Salado Eagles will face the #10 Bellville Brahmas in the first round of the 4A, Div. II playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station.

La Grange shuts out Salado 35-0
Despite 0-9 record, Eagles could get to playoffs
Despite an 0-9 record after losing to La Grange 35-0 on Oct. 29, the Salado Eagles could still make the 4A football playoffs with a win over the 1-8 Smithville Tigers. Salado faces the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at Eagle Field to determine which team will be the fourth-place team from District 11-4A Div. II.

Giddings Buffaloes ran over the Salado Eagles 62-6 Oct. 16 to hand Salado its eighth loss of the year and 20th straight loss under Coach Brent Graham. Salado gets a much-needed week off before the Eagles travel to LaGrange to face the #2 Pirates.

Bees score 38 points in first half of game
Academy Bees scored 31 points in the second quarter and 7 in the first quarter as they handed the Salado Eagles their fourth straight loss of the year, this time a 38-0 shut out Sept. 18 in Academy.
