Salado varsity Eagles have shut out 15 opponents this year, a school record for the soccer program. The boys are 18-1 and 10-0 on the year. The Eagles are ranked #4 in the state by maxpreps.com unofficial poll.
Last week, they shut out both Jarrell and Academy. The last time an opponent has scored against the Eagles was Feb. 10.

Salado Youth Soccer League organizes several recreational soccer teams where youngsters are coached in the basics of the game and matches are not scored. SYSA also has competitive and travel teams.
The Salado Spirit U15 girls beat Lee County LC United 2-0 on Sept. 11 in Giddings.
Salado FC Academy Red Team beat the Hill Country FC U10 Boys 10-0 and the Hayes Youth South Association Academy U10 Boys Wolfpack 7-5 on Sept. 10 at the CAYSA Academy Festival in Manor.

Salado Eagles placed second in district soccer this year and had several players to earn All-District honors, which were announced last week.
Sophomore Constantinos Loullis leads the team, having earned Offensive MVP Honors. He scored 19 goals and had five assists on the year. In District play, Loullis had eight goals and one assist.
Receiving First Team All-District honors were senior John Dawson, juniors Daniel Magadan and Camden LaCanne and sophomore Trey Sheppard.
Named to the Second Team All-District were senior Scout Pucket, sophomore Manuel Magadan and Brandon Rodriguez and freshman Caleb Chambliss.
Junior Ryan Cook and sophomores Armando Castillo and Kaden Smien received Honorable Mention.
Coach Michael Goos was named Coach of the Year.
Salado Eagles varsity soccer season came to an end in Burtnet April 1, where they lost to the Fredericksburg Billies 3-1 in an Area Round match.
Constantinos Loullis scored the only goal for Salado with an assist by Daniel Magadan
Salado and Liberty Hill were both ousted in the second round of playoffs. The Panthers lost to Boerne in the Area game 3-1. In the bi-district round, the Panthers crushed La Grange, the fourth place team in 26-4A by a score of 9-0.
In the first round, Giddings, the runner-up in District 26-4A beat Lampasas, the third place team in District 25-4A by the score of 9-0. Gonzales, the winner in 26-4A, beat Little River-Academy, fourth place team in 25-4A, 6-0.
With a 2-1 win over the Florence Buffaloes on the road, Salado Eagles varsity soccer team holds on to second place in district play and qualified for the playoffs.
