SHS freshmen girls assist in winning softball National Championship in NYC
Three Salado High School Freshman girls, along with Firecracker Head Coach Mark Brown returned to Salado Monday evening after the DFW Firecracker Gold 14U Softball team went undefeated to win the 2016 Triple Crown Sports USA Platinum National Championship in New York City, New York. The game was televised Saturday on ESPN 3.
Piper Randolph, Chris Wilson, and Breigh Oliver competed against teams from New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Arizona, California and New Hampshire to win the highly coveted National Championship. Coach Brown (Salado) and the three SHS girls will travel to Huntington Beach, California with their team on July 30 to compete in the 2016 Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) National Championship: July 31-Aug. 6. Lady Eagles’ season ends in Area round
Salado Lady Eagles gave up two runs late in the game of both of their losses to the Sweeny Lady Bulldogs, ending their season in the Area playoff May 6-7.
Lady Eagles survive pitchers’ duel to get to Area round
Salado Lady Eagles survived what can only be described as a pitchers’ duel between Meagan Hill and Navarro’s Cayli Cowan, winning 1-0 in the eighth inning of their bi-district playoff game on April 27.

Lady Eagles face Navarro in round one after Llano win
Salado Lady Eagles lost the coin toss to determine the third and fourth place seeds for District 25-4A and face Geronimo-Navarro, the first place team from District 26-4A, in the bi-district round of the playoffs on April 27.

Lady Eagles fall to Burnet
Salado Lady Eagles are going to the softball playoffs as either the third or fourth place team from District 25-4A. The girls lost to first-place Burnet last night 5-1 at Liberty Hill, a game that was rescheduled due to rains early this week.
Meagan Hill notches no-hitter as Lady Eagles bounce back for district wins
Meagan Hill pitched a no-hitter and only three Taylor Lady Ducks reached base as the Salado Lady Eagles cruised to a 10-0 Mercy Rule win at home April 8.
