Salado Lady Eagles sit atop district, going into their contest with the state-ranked Burnet Lady Bulldogs this week, after sweeping Taylor, Lampasas and Liberty Hill.

Salado Lady Eagles handled Veritas Academy in quick fashion, winning in three straight, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-15 last week. The girls also swept the Groesbeck Lady Goats in three sets to improve to 22-5 on the year.
Salado Lady Eagles are 20-5 after sweeping Academy Lady Bees and Killeen Lady Roos in straight sets of volleyball recently.
Salado Lady Eagles are 18-5 following a three-set win over the Jarrell Lady Cougars last week.
Salado Lady Eagles won the Gatesville Volleyball Tournament Aug. 20 and 22, beating four teams, including two 6A squads. With the tournament wins, the girls are 12-3 on the year.
Salado Lady Eagles beat the Cameron Lady Yoe in a three straight sets, battling back and forth in the first two and running away in the third set.
Salado Lady Eagles lost two district games last week, falling in a highly-contested five-set match to Florence and losing in four to Lexington on Sept. 20. The girls will host Cameron Sept. 27. The girls traveled to Rogers on Sept. 24, but the game was after press time.
Salado Lady Eagles swept the Academy Lady Bees to win the opening match of district play, winning at home, 25-20, 25-8 and 25-19 on Sept. 13.
