Funeral services for Charlotte Butler, 76, of Salado, will be held at 11 a.m. February 23, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Pinalto officiating.   Burial will follow at Salado Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends for visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.  

Butler died Monday, February 19, 2024 in a Round Rock Hospital. 

She was born August 5, 1947 in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of Charlie Joe Hodges and Naomi Lucille (Billings) Hodges. As a child she lived in Hereford, Texas and New Mexico before moving to Temple.   

She married Johnny Butler November 25, 1972 in Temple.  

She worked for Scott and White for several years.  Later she began working in childcare for 18 years. She retired from the daycare at First Baptist Church in Salado in 2009, after being with them for 12 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Salado.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Hodges in 2023.  

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Johnny Butler of Salado; two sons Jason Lee Butler of Temple and James David Butler of Salado; nephews, Dennis Simonson and Dwayne Simonson.  

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Salado Children’s Ministries.
