Copeland dies February 15
Bernice G. Copeland, 96, of Salado died Feb. 15, 2002.
Funeral services were held Feb. 18, at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Burial was at the Salado Cemetery.
Bernice Copeland was born to Rayth and Sophronie Griffin McQueen in Bell County on April 5, 1905. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Stagecoach Inn in Salado and was also a Avon sales representative for many years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Belton.
Survivors include one son R.L. Copeland of Salado; one daughter Elsie Nell Cromeans of Belton, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey H. Copeland on May 4, 1962, one son Harvey H. Copeland, Jr. on Feb. 1, 1978; three brothers and two sisters.
Heartfield Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
