Congratulations Salado!

Curbside Recycling has been a huge success. In 2014 you brought 10.5 tons of mixed recycling (cardboard/plastic/paper) and 4.3 tons of metal (tin and aluminum) to the Keep Salado Beautiful Recycle Center. We converted to curbside recycling and in 2015 you saved 32 tons of mixed material and 9 tons of metal from the landfill.

We have tripled the amount of mixed material – paper, plastic, cardboard, and more than doubled the amount of tin and aluminum that is recycled from Salado. Just think what we could do if more households participated in the program. We could significantly reduce the landfill space requirements and reuse more materials.
