Donald Goodnight

Services for Donald Goodnight, age 82, of Temple and formerly of Salado, will be held 10 a.m. January 24, 2011 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Bobby Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Salado Cemetery.

Goodnight died January 21, 2011 at his home in Temple.

He was bron July 21, 1928 in Salado to Herny Ernest and Lola Pearl (Pirtle) Goodnight. He attended Salado Schools and graduated from Salado High School. He married Robbie L. Reuer in Salado on November 24, 1948. They move to Corpus Christi for a few years before returning to Salado where he owned Goodnight Construction Company. He also managed Salado Water Supply for 22 yars. He was a member of the Prairie Dell Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Robbie Goodnight, of Temple, two sons, Gary Goodnight and wife Tracey of Arlington and Alan Goodnight and wife Tammy of Salado; one daughter Rene DePoy and husband Mark of Salado and six grandchildren: Brittani, Karleigh, Dacen, Cade, Sarah and Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to either the Prairie Dell Baptisth Church or the Salado Volunteer Fire Department.

Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
