Memorial services for Donald E. Lightfoot, 63, of Belton were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Bill Adams officiating.

Donald E. Lightfoot died Monday, May 20, 2013, at his home in Belton.

Mr. Lightfoot was born August 19, 1949 in Abilene, the son of Elton Jacob Lightfoot and Winnie Ruth (Stafford) Lightfoot.  He was an owner of car dealerships including Lightfoot Motors in Hamilton in the 1970’s and more recently Don’s Auto Sales in Gatesville.   He moved from Waco to Belton in 2010.  While in Belton, he became a member of the Belton Senior Center.  He enjoyed playing Bridge while at the Sr. Center.  He also enjoyed sports including golf and baseball.

  Survivors include his wife Sandy Lightfoot of Waco, son Bryan Lightfoot and wife Melissa of Salado, daughter Gay Padgett and husband Morris of Belton; sister Peggy Jackson of California; nine grandchildren, Paige, Ashley, Lindsey, Tyler, Garrett, Clair, Bryan, Ashlee, and Erin; one great grandchild, Kelby.
