Donna Marie Sarvis
Services for Donna Marie Sarvis, 43, of Harker Heights were held March 14, 2011 at the Broecker Funeral Home Chapel, Salado, with Pastor Tunis Schuurman officiating.
Donna Marie Sarvis died March 9, 2011 at a local hospital. She was born October 1, 1967 in Durham, N.C. to Richard Lee Sarvis, Sr. and Wanda Marie Moore.
She attended Killeen Ellison High School and Clark College in Vancouver WA.
Donna Sarvis spent much of her early years living in various parts of the world with her father and mother who were in the US Army. While living in Germany, she played trumpet in the band, was a senior girl scout, won division title on post in softball and was active in skating.
After college she worked in the medical field, most recently worked at Family Care, Harker Heights caring for severely disabled elderly who were paraplegic or quadriplegic and those unable to care for themselves.
Donna was an active member of the Mountain View Baptist Church, Harker Heights. She did the Wednesday night bible study and was a major participant in the 5th Sunday Pot Luck Dinners.
Donna is preceded in death by her father who died in Viet Nam and step-father SGM Bobby R. Knecht.
Survivors include her mother, Wanda M. Knecht, brothers Richard Sarvis, Durham, N.C., Eric E. Knecht, USN, WA, sister, Sharon Lynn Sarvis and son, Timothy Wesley Gore, Ft. Hood, TX.
Arrangements are being handled by Broecker Funeral Home of Salado.
