Druane Holtom McLoud

Druane Holton McLoud, 71, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 in Temple. She was born on October 27, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas to Arthur Eugene Holton, Jr. and Margaret Ann Curtis.

She was a 1960 graduate of Temple High School, later graduating cum laude from Mary Hardin Baylor with a degree in nursing. She was a member of Alpha Chi and Nu Sigma Lambda and was recognized in the 1974-1975 Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. 

After graduating, she worked at Scott and White Hospital holding positions as Nephrologist Clinician, Dialysis Supervisor, and an Oncology Nurse Clinician. She retired in 2004 after 26 years of service. 

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Jerry D. McLoud; son Stephen Ford, Jr. and daughter, Lorie Rogers Hopper both of Temple; and stepdaughters, Stacy Ingram of Salado, Tracy McLoud of Belton, and Teresa Siegfried of Belton. She also left behind seven grandchildren: Stephen and Matthew Ford, Brittany, Brian, and Blake Hopper, and Justin and Conner Siegfried. 

She was preceded in death by her father Lt. Col. Arthur Eugene Holton of Ft. Worth, Texas, Stepfather Homer Kenneth Russ and mother Margaret Ann Russ both of Temple, Texas. 

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements with interment at the Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. If you would like to send flowers, have them delivered no earlier than Saturday morning, December 14. 

A private family service will be held at 2 p.m. December 14, 2013 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
