Rubber Duckies Fall From The Sky

Event will raise funds for local FD

In Salado Texas, on Oct. 27 rubber ducks will come raining from the sky.  Skydive Temple is holding a “Duckie Drop” as a fundraiser for the Salado Fire Department. 

Raffle tickets are available at Skydive Temple and select Salado Merchants.  One thousand rubber ducks will be dropped from 500 feet over the airport.  Any of the $10 ducks that land in the target swimming pool will win a free tandem skydive.  There is no limit on the amount of winners.  

One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the Salado Fire Department, and you do not need to be present to win.  

The drop will be at Skydive Temple in Salado at at 4 p.m., October 27.  The Salado Creek Winery will also be there hosting a wine tasting.  

Skydive Temple is offering discounted tandems and free beer with any donation to the Salado Fire Department.  

Skydive Temple has been operating since 1987, and has been located at the Salado airport since 1994.
