With players moving over to basketball from football, Salado Eagles varsity boys cruised past Thrall 83-35 in a home game Nov. 26.
The boys only played one game last week, but will be competing in the Coach Smith Tournament this week.
Salado took a 17-6 first quarter lead and extended it to 40-15 at the half and 55-27 after three. Josh Goings hit three three-pointers in the fourth, to lead the Eagles to 28 points in the period.
Cade Scallin led Salado with 20 points, followed by Goings, with 15 points, 12 of them in the fourth period alone.
Eli Pittman scored 11 points, all in the first half. Austin Abel also scored 11 points, all in the first half.
Also scoring for Salado were Reece Brown, 9 points, Latrell Jenkins, 7 points, Caleb Self, 5 points, Noah Mescher, 3 points and Peyton Miller, 2 points.
