Salado scores 18 points in fourth to overcome deficit
Salado Eagles scored 18 points in the fourth quarter to overcome a four-point deficit and beat the Lorena Leopards in a non-district road game Jan. 4. The Eagles won 60-58.
alado jumped out to an 18-9 first quarter lead, but Lorena scored 21 points in the second period and tied the game at 30-30 at the end of the first half.
Trevor Stump hit a three-pointer in each of the four periods and led the Salado Eagles in scoring with 20 points.
Preston Rosebrock followed with 15 points.
Also scoring for the Eagles were Justin Tatum, 12 points, Peyton Kyburz, five points and Willie Whigham and Anthony Young, four points each.
