Salado Eagles went on the road to defeat the Waco Connally Cadets Dec. 19.

The Eagles trailed the Cadets 12-13 in the first quarter and scored seven in the second to trail 19-26. Brady Ihler scored 14 of Salado’s 18 third quarter points to help Salado take a 37-31 lead over the Cadets. The Eagles scored another 18 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 55-45 win.

Brady Ihler led the Salado Eagles in scoring with 19 points. Also scoring for Salado were Josh Goings, 17 points, Peyton Miller, 10 points, Noah Mescher, 4 points, Luke Law, 3 points, Noah Self, 2 points.

Waco Connally 47

Salado JV Eagles were beaten by Waco Connally Cadets on the road Dec. 19.

Salado led the Cadets 11-9 in the first quarter and fell behind 15-17 in the second quarter. Salado scored 7 in the third to trail 22-35 and added 8 in the fourth to lose 30-47.

Josh Gilpin led Salado in scoring with 10 points. Also scoring for Salado were Isaac Pettigrew, 5 points, Ethan Llobergat, 3 points, Caleb Sirmon, 2 points, Adam Benavides, 2 points, Kase Maedgen, 2 points, Cayden Stump, 2 points, Nolan Miller, 2 points, Dawson Barksdale, 2 points.
