Salado Eagles beat Waelder 52-46 on Dec. 21 in a non-district basketball game to improve to 9-7 on the year.

Salado trailed Waelder 11-12 after the first period and 21-23 at the end of the first half. The Eagles led 39-38 after three quarters of play.

Preston Rosebrock led the scoring for the Eagles with 21 points in the game. He shot six-of-nine at the free throw line.

Justin Tatum followed with an 11 point effort, including four-of-five shooting at the free throw line.

Also scoring for the Eagles were Trevor Stump and Anthony Young, eight points each and Peyton Kyburz, four points.
