Salado Eagles lost their basketball season opener, 63-56,  to the Lorena Leopards on the road Nov. 18.

The Eagles took the lead 14-5 and held onto it until the Leopards outscored them 23-8 in the fourth quarter.

Colby Ramm led the Eagles with 14 points, shooting five-of-12 from the field. He had 2 rebounds and an assist.

Derrick Smith followed with 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Also contributing were Mason Brown, nine points, six rebounds, four assists, three deflections, two steals and two block; Liam Wilcox, six points, four rebounds and an assist; Bradon Gonzalez, five points, three rebounds, three assists, two deflections and two steals; Griffin Self, five points, a rebound, two assists and three deflections; Bryson Byars, four points, five rebounds, an assist, two deflections and a steal and #21, two points and a rebound.
