Salado varsity Eagles boys basketball lost to Lorena Leopards in their season opener on the road Nov. 13.

The Leopards took a first quarter lead of 13-9 and then held Salado to just two points in the second to lead 30-11. Salado scrapped through the third, scoring 13 to Lorena’s 18 but added 25 in the fourth, when the game was out-of-reach for a 61-49 loss.

Josh Goings led the Eagles with 17, including 11 of Salado’s 13 in the third. 

Pittcock followed with 13 points for the Eagles.

Also scoring were Ihler, 5 points, Wilson, 5 points and Self, 5 points. Law had 2 points.
