Salado fought a strong Lampasas squad at home, falling 2-1 on Feb. 17.
“Lampasas played a strong game against us,” Brandon Rodriguez said. “We were evenly skilled, the offense for our team connected very well. Although we came up short, I’m proud of my team’s hard work.”
Rodriguez, a forward, scored the only goal for Salado on an assist from forward Scout Puckett.
Salado traveled to Liberty Hill for a district match Feb. 24 (after presstime) and will play host to Gatesville in a non-district match Feb. 27.
