The Eagles won three of four games played in Franklin before the rain ended the weekend tournament.

Salado Eagles dinged Bay Area Christian pitcher Tayler Barron for 15 hits en route to their 11-6 first round win in the Franklin Tournament March 11.
Cody Wolf went three-for-three and had three RBIs to lead the Eagles. He scored one run.
Preston Payne also went three-for-three with one RBI, scoring two runs.
Salado trailed 0-1 after the first inning in which Tyler Barron hit a single and scored.
The Eagles took the lead with four runs in the second. Kade Maedgen led off the inning by reaching on an error. He went to third on a single to left by Drew Dobbins. Dobbins stole second and Tate Harvey singled to left to score Maedgen. Preston Payne singled, scoring Dobbins and reached second on the throw. He scored on a triple to deep left by Garrett Lightfoot. Wolf hit a sacrifice fly to score Lightfoot.
Bay Area added a run in the third on a solo homer by Matthew Smith.
Payne scored in the fourth after hitting a one-out single to deep left. He stole second and after the second out was recorded on a flyout, he scored on a double by Wolf. Grant Taylor doubled, scoring Wolf. Taylor went to third on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Ryan Oakes, who was left stranded on second.
Salado added three more in the fifth inning. Dobbins led off with a triple and scored on a singled by Phillip Ellis. Tate Harvey singled, Preston Payne single and Wolf singled. Taylor grounded out to third to score Harvey. Wolf was left on second.
Smith tripled to lead off the bottom of the fifth for Bay Area, scoring on a single by Daniel Hopper. Josh Rasco and Andrew Fracescon both walked and Jacob Stiehl doubled to score two runners. Cotton Rasco singled to score Francescon.
Ryan Oakes got the win, pitching 4.1 innings, allowing six hits, four runs and striking out three batters.

Salado Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat Lago Vista Vikings March 11 in the Franklin Tournament.
Cody Wolf was hit by the pitcher and scored on a homer by Grant Taylor.
Wolf got the win for the Eagles, pitching the entire game. He allowed three hits, struck out eight and walked three batters.

Eagles 2
Salado Eagles shut out Danbury 2-0 on March 12 to get to 3-0 in the Frankling Tournament.
The Eagles scored a run in the first. Cody Wolf knocked a ball to deep right and an error by the rightfielder allowed him to go to second. He went to third on a single to deep left by Grant Taylor, scoring on the throw.
Ryan Oakes walked to lead off the bottom of the third, scoring on a double by Preston Payne to bring the score to 2-0.

Bullard 3
Salado took advantage of an error in the fourth to score, but allowed three runs in the bottom of the inning to ultimately lose to Bullard in the fourth round of the Franklin Tournament March 12.
Garrett Lightfoot went to first on an error and advanced on a sacrifice bnt by Grant Taylor. He stole third base and scored on the second error of the inning.
The Eagles committed three errors in the bottom of the fourth and gave up two singles to allow Bullard to score three runs for the win.
Peyton Kyburz was tallied the loss for Salado. He gave up three hits and three runs, striking out five batters.
Salado had five hits in the game: earning hits were Payne, Ryan Dunnahoo, Drew Dobbins, Kade Maedgen and Phillip Ellis.
