Ed Baker
Belton- Funeral services for Ed Baker, 84, of Salado were held January 12, 2010 at Salado United Methodist Church. Travis Franklin officiated. Interment followed at Salado Cemetery.
Baker died Sunday, January 10, 2010 in a Temple hospital.
Ed was born December 28, 1925 in Clear Creek to Herbert and Henretta (Boyd) Baker. Baker married Kitty middleton on October 29, 1977 in Temple. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1943. Ed proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of Salado United Methodist Church for over 25 years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Kitty Baker of Salado; five daughters, Donna Servello and husband Paul of Henderson, NV, Deb Adrian of Austin, Sean Park and husband Patrick of Russellville, AR, Alison Chambers of Austin, Melody Sparks of Austin; one brothers, Earl Baker of Belton; two sisters, Zoanna Curry of Austin, Ruby Miller of Killeen; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dan Baker; two sisters, Joetta Gunn, Zalma Chandler; two brothers, Elmer Williams, Marvin Williams.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Salado United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 771, Salado, Tx 76571.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home.
