Staff Sgt. Ellsworth Allen Raup
Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died May 9, 2016 from injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident in Killeen, Texas.
Staff Sgt. Ellsworth Allen Raup, 33, whose home of record is listed as Waynesville, Missouri, entered the U.S. Marine Corps in April 2002 and afterwards entered the U.S. Army in February 2010 as an explosive ordnance disposal specialist. He was assigned to 79th Ordnance Battalion, Fort Hood, since March 2011.
Raup deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from February 2004 to September 2004, September 2007 to February 2008 and in support of Operation New Dawn from July 2011 to July 2012.
Raup’s awards and decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, two Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals, three Iraq Campaign Medals with campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge, Explosive Ordnance Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge with wheeled vehicle and Marksmanship Qualification Badge-Marksman with Recoilless Rifle.
