Elmer W. Glazener, Sr.
Memorial services for Elmer William Glazener, Sr., 81, of Belton were held June 11 at Three C Cowboy Fellowship in Salado with Evelyn Glazener officiating. Mr. Glazener passed away Wednesday, June 8 2011 at a local hospital.
Elmer was born April 30, 1930 in Holland, Texas to William Travis and Vera (Reed) Glazener. He married Frances Allison on January 17, 1953 in Belton. Elmer was retired from the Belton Fire Department after more than 30 years of service and he had been a member of the American Legion for more than 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Frances of Belton; four children, Elmer and Tamy Glazener, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Patsy and Hillary Goodrum of Salado, Evelyn and Pat Glazener-Cooney of San Antonio and Lee Roy and Leighanne Glazener of Rockport; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, LaNora Miller of Salado; and one brother, Lee Glazener of Burleson.
In lieu of flower, the family suggests donations may be made to the American Cancer society.
Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
