Funeral services for Eric Anderson Romberg, 78, of Holland were held April 12 at the First Baptist Church of Salado with Jim Graham officiating. Interment followed at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.
Romberg died April 7, 2013 in an area care center. He was born on August 14, 1934 to the late Louis D. and Hilda Anderson Romberg at Austin. His family developed over 50 varieties of pecans for the USDA in the Brownwood area.
He was in the US Navy Reserve and worked for the Douglas Aircraft Company and Boeing International writing training manuals on how to fly aircraft.
He married Sharron Rau on November 9, 1974 in Seattle, WA and later moved to Holland where the owned and operated their pecan orchard.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sharron of Holland; a brother, Conrad Romberg of Whidbey Island, WA; two sisters, Hilda and Trudy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
