Five Salado FFA teams have advanced to State competition after competing at district and area contests recently.
Those teams advancing include these that competed at Stephenville:
Nursery/Landscape: first in District and first in Area, advancing to State at Sam Houston State University. Ty Sebesta, first place individual, Lindy Martin, third, Kylee Hubbs, fourth.
Wool: second in district and Area, advancing to State at Texas Tech. Scout Pucket, first, Bailee Barrett, ninth.
Farm Business Management: first in District, second in Area, advancing to State at SHSU. Clayton Kunz, sixth, Courtney Evans, eighth, Chase Kunz, ninth, Connor Hill, 11th.
Milk Quality Products, first in District, fifth in Area and advancing to State meet at Tarleton State University. John Dawson, eighth.
Meats: second in District, fifth in Area advancing to State.
Also competing in district and area were these: Ag mechanics: second district, 10th area, Jeremiah Combs, 10th, Lane Renfro and Belton Farr
Dairy cattle: third district, Chase Alexander, Tyler Oglesby and Melissa McCulloch
Vet tech: fourth in district, Chase Harwell, Kylar Combs and Ansley Flowers.
Entomology: fourth in district, Owen Dabney, Kayla Hudgens and Chloe Schwertner
Livestock: Kaydee Free, Avery Hyer and Matthew Maldonado.
