Eagles 10-run rule Rosebud-Lott Cougar

Casey Frazier pitched a perfect game, striking eight batters as the Salado Eagles beat the Rosebud-Lott Cougars in a 10-0 Mercy Rule shortened outing tonight.

Frazier and the Eagles defense faced 15 batters, striking out eight and allowing only one to get a ball out of the infield, a line drive nabbed by left fielder Keaton Mims. FRazier threw 46 pitches, 36 of them were strikes.
The Eagles had plenty of hits and scored 10 runs in five innings. Salado had six hits and took advantage of five errors by the Cougars to plate the 10 runs.
Salado scored three runs with two outs and no batters on base in the second inning. Davis Little hit a single and stole second. He scored on an error that allowed Chase Basham to reach first. Basham stole second and reached third on the third error of the inning putting Barrett Snyder on first. Snyder stole second. Drew Van Winkle hit a 3-2 single to score two runners.
The Eagles added another run in the third inning. Jacob Little reached on a walk, stole second, reached third on a wild pitch and finally stole home to give the Eagles a 4-0 lead.
In the fourth, Basham reached on a walk, stole second and scored on a groundout by Drew Van Winkle.
Salado added five runs in the fifth to give Frazier his perfect game. Caden Eary reached on an error, stole second and advanced on a single by Preston Payne. Payne stole second and moved to third on an error that scored Eary and let Jacob Little reach first based.
Little stole second base and Frazier knocked in two runs with a single. Frazier stole second and would score the winning run on a single by Van Winkle.
