Funeral service Aug. 11 for Michael Gamble
Michael Harrison Gamble, 23, of College Station and formerly of Salado, died August 8, 2005.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at the First Baptist Church in Salado with Rev. Brian Dunks officiating.
Gamble was born in Temple to T. Gerry and Patti Harrison Gamble. He attended Salado High School, where he was active in basketball and track. He served as Senior Class President and was a member of the National Honor Society. Gamble was .also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Salado Youth Group.
He graduated from Salado High School in 2000.
Gamble graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2004 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, specializing in structures. While attending Texas A&M, Gamble was a member of two honor societies: Tau Beta Phi, an honor fraternity for engineers, and Chi Epsilon, a fraternity for civil engineering. Gamble was a graduate assistant in the engineering department. He was pursuing a Master of Science degree in civil engineering for assessment and repair of voids in grouted post-tensioned duct systems.
He is survived by his parents, T. Gerry and Patti Harrison Gamble, of Salado; his sister, Julie Michelle Warden and her husband Douglas, of Temple; maternal grandmother Janette Harrison, of Temple, and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gamble, of Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Harrison.
