Gerald W. Bush, 84, passed away at his Salado home onb December 23, 2023.
He was born April 4, 1939 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Roy and Cora Bush.
He graduated from Amber Consolidated Schools near Chickasha in 1957 and received his BA in 1962 from Southwestern State University, Weatherford, Oklahoma.
He taught math and physics in Lubbock, Texas. After two years he began his corporate career at Fields and Company in Lubbock where he attained HVAC Application Engineering Certification. Shortly after certification, he began his 33 year career with Honeywell, International Residential HVAC Division. He retired in 2001
He was an active member of Community Christian Church, Richardson, Texas, where he served as deacon, elder, on various committees, and taught Sunday School. He remained a member until his death. He also served on the Waco Texas State Technical Institute HVAC Advisory Board for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helen Bush Houck and his brother Roy Bush.
He is survived by Judy Bush, his wife of 61 years, his daughter Brooke Syverson (husband Jim) of Kopperl; his son Blake Bush (wife Michelle Dante) of Austin, amd two grandchildren.
