Edith Gibbs passes Jan 31
Burial services for Edith R. Gibbs, of Salado, were Feb. 3 in the Cedar Valley Cemetery with Johnny Boren and Matt Owen officiating.
Mrs. Gibbs died at her residence Jan. 31.
Mrs. Gibbs was born to John A. and Annie L. Holder Walker in the Cedar Valley community southwest of Salado, where she lived for most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.G. Gibbs, Jr.; a son, Larry Gatlin Gibbs; a grandson, Ric Tantillo, and a great grandson, Rajun Owen.
Survivors are two sons, Prater Gibbs, of Marion, and Raymond Gibbs, of Mason; five daughters, Martha Tantillo, of Taylor; Darlya Oehler, of Mountain Home; Jana Owen and Tricia Morris, both of Cedar Valley; and Joy Wright, of Conroe.
She is also survived by a brother, James A. Walker, of El Paso, and two sister, Lenore Walker Evans, of Bartlett and Faye Walker Mosley, of Belton.
Mrs. Gibbs is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Harper-Talasck Funeral Home in Salado was in charge of arrangements.
