Hazel Nichols

Private graveside services will be held for Hazel Nichols at Hillcrest Cemetery, Temple. 

Hazel Nichols died February 10, 2011 at her residence in Temple. She was 90 years old.

Hazel, a native Texan, was born on December 3, 1920 in Eddy, Texas to Lon Neeley and Ozell Phillips. She attended local schools and worked as a Dental Assistant. In 1949 she married John L. Nichols of Temple. They were married for 52 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Temple. Her hobbies included gardening and she was an accomplished painter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Larry Berrier and his wife Carmen of Salado.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to the Animal Control Shelter Adoption Center 620 Mama Dog Circle Temple, Texas.

Broecker Funeral Home of Salado is in charge of arrangements.
