I-35 Mainlane Closure in Salado March 26
Thomas Arnold bridge beams to be placed.
SALADO – I-35 northbound and southbound mainlanes will be closed to all traffic through Salado on Wednesday, March 26 from 7 PM – 7 AM, to allow crews to place bridge beams for the new Thomas Arnold bridge. The closure is based upon the weather. If weather is inclement today and tonight, the closing will be cancelled.
All northbound traffic will exit at #283 (FM 2268/FM 2843) and reenter I-35 just north of Main St. All southbound traffic will exit at #285 (FM 2268/Main St.) and reenter I-35 south of FM 2268.
During the closure, the crossings at Main Street and FM 2268 will also be closed in order to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic.
Traffic will be one-way on all sections of frontage road between FM 2268 and FM 2484. Eastbound traffic wanting to cross at these locations will need to take the southbound frontage road to FM 2115, make a U-turn and head north.
Westbound traffic wanting to cross at these locations will need to take the northbound frontage road to FM 2484, make a U-turn and head south.
