I-35 Full Closure in Belton Thursday, January 30

All northbound mainlanes to be closed overnight

BELTON – I-35 will be closed in the northbound direction through Belton on Thursday, January 30, from 7 PM – 7 AM in order to allow crews to shift traffic and move concrete traffic barrier. In addition to the mainlane closure, the Loop 121 and FM 436 crossings will be closed to expedite traffic flow on the access roads.

1. Northbound traffic will exit at #292 (Loop 121) and reenter I-35 north of FM 436. (see Map #1).
2. Eastbound Loop 121 and FM 436 traffic will be detoured to the southbound frontage road, U-turn at Shanklin Road, and then back north on the frontage road. (see Map #2).
3. Westbound Loop 121 and FM 436 traffic will be detoured to the northbound frontage road, U-turn at Central Avenue, and then back south on the frontage road. (see Map #3).
