Salado ISD will hold an information meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Salado Intermediate School regarding the district’s Transfer Policy.

Two years ago, Salado eliminated its transfer fee for students. Prior to that, children of employees could transfer without paying the fee.

Since then, Salado now accepts 237 transfers, which is 14 percent of the district’s total enrollment of 1,669 students.

Because of the number of transfer students at the high school, Salado High will remain in 4A UIL competition for the 2016-18 biennium. The cut off for 4A Division II is 480 students enrolled in grades 9-12. Salado High School turned in an enrollment of 492 students in October. Of that number, 76 students are transfer students.
