Private First Class Dylan Jeffrey Johnson
FORT HOOD, Texas – Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died June 26 2011 from wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device in Diyala province, Iraq.
Private First Class Dylan Jeffrey Johnson, 20, whose home of record is listed as Tulsa, Okla., entered active-duty service in August 2009 as a cavalry scout. He was assigned to 4th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since June 2010.
Johnson’s awards and decorations include an Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with combat service star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and an Overseas Service Ribbon.
