Private Jesse Raymond Cerwick

FORT HOOD, Texas – Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident on West Highway 190 Jan. 15 in Copperas Cove, Texas.

Private Jesse Raymond Cerwick, 23, whose home of record is Sheridan, Wyo., joined the military in August 2010 as a armor crewman and was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since December 2010.

Cerwick’s awards and decorations include National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.

Circumstances surrounding this accident are under investigation.
