Kay Lynn Neumann

Kay Lynn Neumann, 67, of Salado,  lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Oct. 17, 2011. 

Kay Lynn  Neumann was born July 12, 1944 in Rock Island, Illinois to Emmett Donald Goss and Jeanne Francis Rankin Goss. The Goss Family moved to Kansas where she spent much of her childhood. Later relocating to Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kay graduated from Sandia HIgh School in 1962.

Kay met and married Glenn Bruce Neumann,  a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army in 1966,  They raised three daughters. 

Her many interests include golfing, bowling, painting, pottery and beach vacations. After retiring from the medical field, Kay settled in Salado. She attended the Salado United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Ann Davis of Austin, three daughters Robin Beth Townsend of Cedar Park; Kelli Jeanne Shepperd and husband Craig Martin Shepperd of Salado and Kerrie Dawn Neumann of Cedar Park, two grandchildren, Tiffani Carrollynn Neumann and Cory Ryan Shepperd, both of Salado; and one great-grandson Hunter Keith Fulfer of Salado.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Salado United Methodist Church. with Pastor Travis Franklin officiating.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Donald Goss and Jeanne Francis Rankin Goss; and her husband, Lt. Col. Glenn Bruce Neumann.
