Marjorie P. Kirkman services on January 23
Services for Marjorie P. Kirkman 75, of Salado will be held 10 a.m. January 23, at Heartfield Funeral Home m Belton.
Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery. She died January 19, 2002 in a Ft. Worth hospital
Mrs. Kirkman was born in Walla Walla, Washington, to Louis and Winnie Pilfer. She grew up in Walla Walla and graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla.
In 1981, she moved to Salado from Minneapolis, Minn., with her husband.
She was a member and director of the Salado Women’s Chorale and was past president of the Salado Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Lions Club and was on the board of directors of Tablerock Festival for several years. She accompanied the Belton High School choir in its many competitions and she was also a model for designer Grace Jones.
Mrs. Kirkman was a United Methodist and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones in 1990.
Survivors are two sons, William L. Kirkman of Ft. Worth and Robert G. Kirkman of Southlake; six grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
