The Salado Ladies Auxiliary will conduct their monthly meeting on Thursday, August 11. The meeting will be at the Salado United Methodist Church Youth Activity Center located on 650 Royal Street. Coffee and light food will be served at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting commencing at 10 a.m.

According to Barbara Swarthout, Ladies Auxiliary Vice President of Programs, “we have dedicated the 2016 program focus on Salado Businesses. Each month the program speaker is from a Salado business, both new and established.” The August program will feature The Red Cactus and the Salado Community Chorus. Representatives from The Red Cactus will bring clothing pieces to demonstrate the type of styles they have available in the store. An extra feature to the August meeting will be a short performance of the Salado Community Chorus directed by Jim Mohon.  All Ladies Auxiliary members and guests are invited to attend.

The Salado Ladies Auxiliary strives to provide events and activities which enhance, improve and promote the community of Salado. The organization also offers programs and activities that are educational and inspirational as well as social. Membership is open to anyone interested in volunteering their time and talent to promote organizational goals. Membership dues are $15 and the Auxiliary meets the second Thursday of each month at the Salado United Methodist Church Youth Activity Center.
