Salado Lady Eagles lost to the 6A Killeen Lady Roos in a non-district match on Sept. 6 on the road, falling in three straight sets, 20-25, 21-25 and 17-25.

The Lady Eagles scored six aces against the Lady Roos, four of them by Fort. Hearne and Washington each had an ace at the serving line.

DeKay led Salado in attacking the net by scoring 15 of the Lady Eagles’ 30 kills in the match. Robinson followed with nine kills, Washington had two and Fuller, Rich, Martin and Vaillancourt each had one kill.

Vaillancourt recorded the only block of the match.

Martin had 17 assists for Salado, followed by Fuller, eight and Heiner, five.

Defensively, Robinson led the squad with 13 digs, followed by Martin with 11 digs. Also recording digs were Hearne and Fort, eight each, DeKay, seven, Fuller, Washington, Rich and Heiner, two each and Vaillancourt, one.
