Salado is perfect 3-0 in district

Salado Lady Eagles remain perfect in District volleyball with a three-set sweep of Leander Glenn, winning 25-8, 25-17 and a close final set of 26-24.

The Lady Eagles recorded 15 aces tonight, led by Katie Robinson and Natalie Fort, who both had four aces. Kerrigan Hearne followed with three aces. Also scoring aces were Brettney Fuller and Mikaela Heiner, two each.

Salado had 33 kills in their offensive attack at the net. Robinson led the offense with 14 kills. Victoria DeKay had nine kills. Also recording kills were Fuller, three, Brianna Washington, Mariah Vaillancourt, Jamie Rich, Lindy Martin and Fort, one each.Washington blocked two shots and Vaillancourt blocked another on the defense.

The ladies had 22 digs, led by Heiner, who had six. Also recording digs were Robinson, five, Hearne, three, Martin, Fort and Rich, two each and DeKay and Fuller, one each.

Martin had 18 assists and Fuller had 11 to lead the girls Others with assists were Fort, two, Washington and Hearne, one each.
