Salado Lady Eagles placed third in the UIL 4A State Cross Country Meet Nov. 4 at Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park.
The girls team placed behind Canyon Randall, which was anchored by two freshmen, Nayomi Granados and Brooke French, who placed second and third with identical times of 11:17.6 and Fredericksburg, which had two seniors and a sophomore place fifth, sixth and seven. Salado had a team score of 103. Canyon Randall had a team score of 50 and Fredericksburg had a team score of 61,
The Salado girls were led by sophomore Cade Harris, who placed fourth overall with a time of 11:23.7. The girls division was won by Canyon sophomore Addyson Bristow, who had a time of 11:08.5.
Junior Penelope Anderson placed 17th overall with a time of 12:04.6.
Freshman Sydney Engleking placed 20th with a time of 12:10.6.
Junior Alexa Williams placed 30th with a time of 12:21.7.
Junior Zoie Adcox placed 32nd with a time of 12:23.6.
Also running were juniors Anna Redelsheimer, 12:35.9, 41st and Ally Ihler, 12:47.6, 50th.
