Salado Lady Eagles lost to Lampasas and Taylor in two home district basketball games last week.

Salado Lady Eagles lost in overtime to the Taylor Lady Ducks Jan. 26 at home.
After a tough first quarter in which Salado trailed 5-10, the Lady Eagles rallied for a 21-12 halftime lead. Taylor closed the gap to just three at the end of the third 22-25 before knotting the game at 40-40 at the end of regulation, scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Eagles missed nine free throw shots in the fourth quarter and made just nine of 19 at the charity stripe.
Kerrigan Hearne led the Lady Eagles with 14 points. Sarah Kelarek followed with seven points. Taylor Lowrance, Kierstan Osborn and Brianna Washington all had six points. Payton Dreitz and Gema Vitolas both had two points in the game.

Sakado Lady Eagles lost 35-49 on the road to the Lampasas Lady Badgers on Jan. 29.
The Lady Badgers led the game 11-7 after the first and 24-19 at the half.
Seven Lady Eagles scored in the game, but none managed double figures.
Gema Vitolas led the game with eight points, followed by Payton Dreitz, six points, Kerrigan Hearne, Taylor Lowrance and Sarah Kelarek, five points each, Kierstan Osborn, four points and Danielle McDaniel, two points.
