Salado Lady Eagles were knocked out of the Area round of the volleyball playoffs Oct. 31, falling to the LaGrange Lady Leopards in three straight sets at C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron.

The Lady Eagles fought the Lady Leopards, taking a narrow 24-22 lead but LaGrange went on to put the third set away 26-24 to complete the sweep of Salado in the area round.
Salado lost the first two sets 10-25 and 16-25.
The Lady Eagles had five aces in the match with aces recorded by Brettney Fuller, Brianna Washington, Lindy Martin, Mikaela Heiner and Natalie Fort.
Salado recorded 14 kills with Victoria DeKay leading the team with seven kills. Also recording kills were Robinson, four, Washington, two and Jamie Rich, one.
Mariah Vaillancourt had two blocks and Washington had one for Salado.
Defensively, Salado had 26 digs. Robinson led the team with eight, followed by Fort, six, Heiner, four, Martin, three, Vaillancourt and DeKay, two each and Fuller, one.
Martin had nine assists and Fuller had four.
The Lady Eagles took third place in District 19-4A while LaGrange is the second place from District 20-4A.
Salado beat Taylor in four sets to secure the third place spot.

Salado beat the Lady Ducks Oct. 21 in four sets, losing the second in a close one 23-25.
The girls had 17 aces in the match, led by Katie Robinson and Natalie Fort, who each had five aces. Also recording aces were Mikaela Heiner, three, Brettney Fuller, two and Kerrigan Hearne and Lindy Martin, one each.
Victoria DeKay killed 15 shots for Salado to lead the attack at the net. Robinson followed with 14 kills. Also recording kills were Brianna Washington, Lindy Martin, three each and Fuller, Jamie Rich, Mariah Vaillancourt, one each.
Vaillancourt dominated the net defensively with seven blocked shots. Also blocking shots were Washington and Robinson, one each.
Heiner led the girls in defending attacks with 11 digs while Robinson had 10 digs. Others who recorded digs were Hearne, nine, Martin, six, Fort, five, Fuller, four, Rich, three, and Washington, Vaillancourt and DeKay, one each.
Martin had 19 assists and Fuller had 18 assists.

Salado Lady Eagles lost on the road to the #5 Liberty Hill Lady Panthers in three straight sets Oct. 18.
Salado had just five aces in the match with Hearne and Fort recording two and Robinson having one.
Salado blocked 17 shots, led by DeKay, eight, Robinson, six, Vaillancourt, two and Washington, one.
Vaillancourt blocked two shots. Washington and Robinson blocked one each.
Salado had 28 digs on defense, led by Robison, eight. Also recording digs were Martin, six, Fort, five, DeKay, three, Fuller, two, Washington, Rich, Hearne and Heiner, one.
Martin had nine assists and Fuller had eight.
