Salado Lady Eagles struggled through a two-point third quarter in a 30-46 loss on the road to the Gatesville Lady Hornets on Dec. 18.

The Lady Hornets had a 15-9 first quarter lead but Salado kept the game to 20-25 at the half. The Lady Hornets lit Salado up for 13 points in the third while holding the Lady Eagles to just two points. Both teams scored eight in the fourth.

Sarah Kelarek led Salado with 15 points, including two three points. Taylor Lowrance followed with seven points. Payton Dreitz scored four points and Kerrigan Hearne and Kierstan Osborn both scored two points for the girls.
